Europe And The United States Finally Declare that Russian Soldiers Are Fighting In Ukraine

The European and American separate declarations that Russian soldiers are fighting in Ukraine is a rejection in clear language of the Kremlin’s phony narrative of a civil war fought by separatists and Russian “volunteers” deprives them of the “excuse not to believe.” It also means that Europe and the U.S. have labeled the leader of another country, one Vladimir Putin, a liar. The first step in solving any problem is to clearly define what it is. Europe and the U.S. have reluctantly taken this step. The next is to act.

  1. You should have read news more often, because american politics were telling about Russian army in Ukraine many times. But they never showed any proof, that's why no on sane person believes them. OSCE and UN never found any parts of Russian army. How so? Do they hide whole army under the ground? I see that all your "articles" are about how you hate Russia. Looks like someone paying you especially for these lies.

  2. Dear Sir, with all due respect to you and your knowledge. Who told you that EU do not have proof of Russian troops and Armaments. Take Crimea: Putin initially dismissed awkward questions about the presence of Russian troops and hardware - outright no he used to say - but then admitted in April that Russian troops had been active in Crimea in public and he also went there and said in his speech " this is what we worked for hard together." EU politicians do not explicitly call Mr Putin a lair and a cheat so that they remain politically and ethically correct so as to always leave room for honourable way out - and so as not to escalate this further. HOWEVER WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT from my end is to say that for the past 25 years we had learned to do business with Russian people, and become friend and we invested in Russia too and we even made parthnerships. I have here a Russian engineer working for us. No one hates Russian people. What we hate is the one that all of a sudden thinks that he can use his atomic power to re-define borders and same as KGB do, he casually speaks of how he has the atomic power and more recently that the button is only in his hand now. This is unacceptable by any measure. I can see the serious problem EU decision makers have right now. They cannot allow this since this would have no end and we cannot once again allow one man to start a war same as happened in WWII. Russians do not hate us and EU people and the reverse is true too. Putin is the one that as I understand it, hates USA and its allies.

    1. Putin said that Russian troops came to Crimea only later. We can't say if it's true or not. The main thing here that Crimea had referendum where they voted for joining Russia. And even now how polls show more than 90% of people are still agree with their decision. And do not forget one fact. Everything started in Crimea when group of terrorists took the government in their hands and EU and US supported it (many people like Oliver Stone say that US even organized it). People of Crimea were afraid of living under "government" that took the power by killing policemen with Molotov's cocktails.

And actually we're talking not about army in Crimea, we're talking about Donbass. Even about 2-3 weeks ago Ukrainian minister Muzhenko said that they don't fight with parts of Russian army. They only know that some russian citizens are fighting in some groops.

    2. You misrepresent the facts. Russian troops have always been in Crimea. They have a base there.

After 100 people have been shot in Kiev and president Yanukovych fled, the Rada speaker Turchynov was appointed as an interim president, in accordance with the constitution, by the parliment lawfully elected in 2012. There was no uncondtitutional grab of power. The president committed atrocities against his people and fled. That was the only unconstitutional part.

Ukrainian constitution does not have provisions for local referendums on secession. No serious referendum on such matter can be prepared and held in 2 weeks. Sorry. You may believe in fairy tales. It's up to you. But I think, it was a masterful performance staged by visiting actors from Russia produced and directed in Kremlin.

Regarding Donbass. Rread the Minsk agreement item two regarding heavy artillery withdrawal. It mentions the system Tornado S that only Russian military has. The text is on Putin's web site. How did it grt there? Do you mean that Russian government has uncontrolled last model rocket systems? Or do you think that "miners and tractor drivers" can operate rocket systems with satellite navigation?

Lavrov and Churkin may repeat their nonsense over and over, but it seems to me, fewer and fewer people are buying this BS any more.

    3. Oh, really? :) Do you think I didn't know about the base? I've seen all the ships when I was in Crimea. When people talk about russian troops they mean that they left their base to cities fully equipped.

No unconstitutional grab of power? How did it start? Thousands of extremists started capturing government buildings. Then they were attacking Berkut. Guys from Berkut had only sticks and shields. Extremists used molotov's cocktails and stones against them. Guys from Berkut were burning alive. Then they even stolel guns from military bases and Berkut was stilll not allowed to get weapon and use it. Do you think it's a normal constitutional way of changing a president? Yanukovich fled because he was afraid for his life, but it doesn't give anyone to choose a new president. He was still a president. The only constitutional way to change a president in Ukrainian constitution is impeachment.

Referendum is basics of democracy. Why could people from Scotland have it and crimeans not? And actually after grabbing the power in Kiyv by extremists they didn't have real government. If someone wasn't agree with organization of referendum they could come and check everything. Everyone was welcome there. But EU and US said that they will not go anyway. Or they could even say: "We don't trust your results, let's make a new referendum". But they didn't, because they know what results they will get and they don't want it.

  3. I respect your opinion, but are you sure you know what you are talking about? Russian passports only prove that Russians are fighting with the rebels (which is true) but it certainly does not prove that Russian solders are fighting with the rebels. In your position you should know that Russian solders turn in their passports for ID cards. So the correct proof would be soldier ID cards. Where are they?

    1. Read Minsk agreement on withdrawal of heavy artillery. It mentions the Tornado S system that only Russia has. It's published on Putin's own web site.
